Slow, medium, or fast? You can select slow, medium or fast modes at the top right-hand
corner of the Tipcode-screen. If you use a modem (dial-up connection), select ‘slow’ to enjoy smoothly streaming
video. The fast mode offers the highest video and audio quality, but requires a high-speed internet connection
(broadband). The standard mode is medium.

Correct codes
Make sure that you enter the Tipcodes correctly. There should be a hyphen between the letters and the number;
no spaces allowed (e.g, cello-001, sax-001, drum-001, vocals-001). Note that there may be one or two Tipcodes per book that do not link to a movie or sound file.
Check your browser
It may be that your browser (e.g., Explorer, Firefox) is set to block certain applications. If so, your browser will notify you. Please check.
Red X
If the Tipcode window (turns blue and) shows a red X in the left upper corner, please click right on the X. The menu that now appears allows you to activate Windows Media Player for playing the Tipcodes.
Firewall
Some (settings in) Firewalls do not allow you to play media files such as the Tipcodes. If this is the case, you won’t be able to play other media files either. The solution is to check the settings in your Firewall. The large number of Firewalls available makes it impossible to give specific instructions.
Virus protection
Virus protection software that thinks Tipcodes are suspect will tell you so, typically allowing you to indicate if you still want to play the Tipcode. The settings of sophisticated virus protection software can be adjusted to your liking.
No sound?
If there’s no sound with a Tipcode, please check the volume level of your computer and/or your sound system. If that seems to be okay, place the cursor on the Tipcode window, right click, then click on Volume and adjust this setting. Note that not all Tipcodes have both video and audio.
Flash and Newsletter
We expect to convert the Tipcodes to Flash in the future, requiring Flash Player (free download) to play them If you want to keep posted on this and other developments, including new Tipbook releases, please subscribe to our Newsletter at www.tipbook.com.
